Mrs. Butler was born in Greenwood, SC on January 26, 1938 to the late Charlie L. and Kathleen Brown Braswell. She was affectionately known as "MaMa B" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Butler was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved the Lord as well as her family. She also loved her Church family at Easley First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a longtime member.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Butler is survived by her three children: Angie Butler Williams (Mark) of Oviedo, Florida, John Alton Butler, Jr. of Liberty, and Michael Butler (Shelley) of Christiansburg, VA; four sisters: Sylvia Sexton of Clemson, Pat Simpson of Clinton, Jan Wilson (Bennie) of Clinton, and Nita Chanley (Mike) of Pickens; seven grandchildren: Matthew Williams, Ryan Williams, Kimberlee Dijkhoff (Gerald), Zachary Butler, Alex Butler, Abigail Butler, and Lucas Butler; and three great-grandchildren: Aubree Dijkhoff, Levi Dijkhoff, and Weston Dijkhoff.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Easley First Pentecostal Holiness Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM on Thursday, prior to the service, at the Church.
The family will be at the residence.
