Mrs. Violet Lewis Adcox

Violet Lewis Adcox, 87, wife of the late Charles E. Adcox, passed from this life Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Mrs. Adcox was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Ommie and Lois Simmons Lewis. For eighteen years she worked with Judson Mill in Greenville and later retired from Ryobi Motor Products after fifteen years service. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Chuck Adcox (Lynn) of Six Mile and Bennie Adcox (Debbie) of Pickens, grandchildren, Jeff, Dane, and Zach Adcox (Kayla), and great grandchildren, Clay, Gage, Garrett, and Griffin Adcox. Also surviving are sisters, Ruby Reid (Cecil), Faye Snipes (Harold), Gladys Baker (Merrill), Shirley Britton (Buddy), Dot Porter (Jerry), and Linda Hayes (Wayne). In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Adcox was preceded in death by three brothers, Barney, Charles, and David Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Friday, February 13, 2015 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
