Virgil was born on September 26, 1948, in Oconee, South Carolina, to the late Wiley Lee and Bessie Todd Lusk.
Virgil is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Holder Lusk; two sons: Micheal Lusk and James Lusk (Dee Dee); five grandsons: Luke Lusk, Nooner Lusk, Grady Lusk, JT Lusk, and Brandon Lusk; three granddaughters: Lilly Lusk, Annabell Lusk, and Gracie Lusk; and brother, Rev. Ferber Lusk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers: Herbert Lusk, Rev. Charles Lusk, and Rev. Leon Lusk.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, SC.
Flowers will be accepted by the family.
