Mrs. Trotter was born in Pickens County on May 22, 1926 to the late Ila B. and Floy Rampey Nations. First and foremost, she was a Christian who loved to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Trotter was an active member of Secona Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 65 years. Upon her transition to assisted living, her teaching followed her to the Willows where she led a group Bible study. In addition to her love for her Lord, she truly loved her family, and continually prayed for them, as well as took care of them. Mrs. Trotter will also be remembered for her sharp wit, and a sense of humor unlike many others. She loved to share in a joke, especially with her Griff. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, especially coloring, and reading.
Mrs. Trotter is survived by a special nephew: Gary Nations (Donna) of Pickens; a special niece: Iva Holcombe (Dwight) of Pickens; six nephews: Cameron Nations, Kevin Nations, Oron Trotter, Jr (Ruth), Richard Trotter (Mary), Jerry Robertson (Lynn), and Fred Robertson; two great-nephews: Andrew Nations and Jason Holcombe; and a great-niece: Karen Doty. Mrs. Trotter is also survived by numerous great-great-nephews, nieces, and extended family.
