Yvonne Corn Bolding, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and faithful servant to others, passed away peacefully on August 21st at the age of 73. She was the cherished daughter of P.E. “Red” and Evelyn Corn.
Yvonne was a proud graduate of Easley High School and Clemson University, carrying her love for the Clemson Tigers throughout her life. She dedicated her career to shaping young minds as a passionate teacher at Ambler Elementary School, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of countless students and colleagues. A woman of deep and enduring faith, Yvonne was a long-time active member of Pickens First Baptist Church, where she led Mission Friends, Preschool Choir, and was a member of the Adult and Handbell Choirs. She and Mac enjoyed their countless road trips together. She kept dozens of travel journals documenting their memories together.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mac Bolding; daughters Megan (Josh) Ritchie and Emily (Jeremy) Simmons, both of Easley; and three treasured granddaughters, Abby Simmons, Callie Simmons and Peri Ritchie.
She was preceded in death by her father, P.E. “Red” Corn and her parents-in-law, Woodrow “Woody” and Ruth Bolding. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Corn, brothers Rick Corn and Steve (Sharon) Corn. She leaves behind seven deeply cherished nieces and nephews, beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, and her two life-long best friends who will deeply miss her love, laughter and the special place she held in their lives. There is also a community of extended family, former students, colleagues and close friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Garden Room at Dillard Funeral Home. The family requests that anyone who attends, feel free to wear Clemson orange and purple.
The funeral will be held at Pickens First Baptist Church on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association located at 700 Executive Center Dr Ste 303, Greenville, SC 29615.
