Audie G Bottomlee

Audie Geraldine Bottomlee, 88 of Turkey, Creek, Brenton, WV went to her heavenly home on June 13, 2016. She was born March 18, 1928 at Turkey Creek, Brenton, WV to the late Goff and Vida Cook. Audie was a proud mother of three children. In addition to being a mother and wife, she loved to cook, sew, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church and assisted with VBS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.P. Bottomlee; a wonderful daughter, Pamela Davis; brothers, Roscoe, Verne and Algie Cook and sisters, Garnette Hatfield, Ruth McKinney and Naomi Wiles. Survivors include her daughter, Paula Slavy of Owego, NY; son, Norris Bottomlee and his wife, Cathy of Palm Bay, FL; and sisters, Grace Cook of Bluewell, WV and Myrtle Cline of Turkey Creek, Brenton, WV.; four grandchildren, Crystle Slavy of Rochester, NY, Courtney Benjamin of Owego, NY, Collin Bottomlee of Palm Bay, FL, and Cara Slavy of Owego, NY. Also, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on June 18, 2016, at 1 p.m. by Reverend Glenn Hatfield at Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Brenton, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny,, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
