Charles Robert Shumate

Charles Robert Shumate, 37 of Ravencliff passed away June 28, 2016 following an ATV accident. Born June 4, 1979 at Beckley, he was the only son of Thomas and Patricia Hall Shumate of Glen Rogers Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mildred Shumate and Robert and Barbara Hall. He attended Faith Baptist in Matheny, Glen Rogers Community Church and the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Patricia Shumate of Glen Rogers A sister, Carrie Shumate and adopted sister, Emilie Shumate both of Glen Rogers A niece Kaylie Shumate and many cousins and friends A celebration of Charles’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Francis officiating

The family will receive friends from noon on Sunday until the time of the service

Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Church Cemetery, Ravencliff

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers
