

Calfee Funeral Service Pineville Clara Dee Cook Clara Dee Cook 85, of Pineville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2016 at her residence following a long illness. Born January 10, 1931 in Itmann, she was the daughter of the late Blake and Hattie Stewart Cook. Clara Dee was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. She was a member of the Cook Memorial Baptist Church, and enjoyed attending Rockcastle Baptist Church and Saulsville Baptist Church. Clara was a homemaker, and she loved spending time with her family. She was a very proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles W. (Buddy) Cook Jr., her daughter, Carla Sue Cook Belcher, her great- granddaughter, Brooklyn Clair Lumbo, three brothers, Otis, Dick, and Barbe Cook, and one sister Joyce Goddard. Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters Brenda Browning and husband Gary, Tammy Justus and husband Corbet both of Pineville, two grandsons that they adopted, Brian Belcher and his wife Beth, and Chad Belcher both of Charlotte, North Carolina. Three grandchildren, Brandon Blaylock of Kona, Hawaii, Julie Dee Blaylock of Cross Lanes, Josh Lumbo of Pineville. Two step-grandchildren, Hunter Justus of Morgantown, and Angel Blessing of Itmann. Seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor, and Landon Blaylock, Christian and Coleton Belcher, Devin and Isaac Belcher, her sister Patty Workman and husband Pat of Canvas, a granddaughter-in-law, Tonya Blaylock, her beloved cat, Domino, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends. Services celebrating the life of Clara Dee will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Calfee Funeral Service with Pastor Silas Mullins and Pastor Michael Knotts officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband and daughter in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff of Princeton Community Home Health, Hospice of Southern West Virginia, and two special care givers, Mona Owens and Margie Hatfield.
