Edith Irene Christian

Mullens-Edith I. Christian left this life to be with the Lord forever on August 13, 2015. Born in Caples, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Lilly Blankenship. Edith was one of twelve children and was a dedicated member of Pineville Southern Baptist Church since 1988, and Charity Baptist Church of Mullens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J.E. Christian, a step son David Christian and several brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Jerry Frost of King, NC, Judy Frost of Sedona, AZ, Andrea Taylor of Mullens whom was also her caregiver, and Anthony Frost of Hickory, NC. Three Grandchildren, Valerie Harris of King, NC, Ryan Frost of Kansas, and a dedicated granddaughter Cheryl Milam of Pineville Four Great Grandchildren, Baylee and Cade Milam of Pineville, Jareth Windsor and Ian Harris of King, NC Her siblings, Grathiel Faw of Parma, OH and Lula Insley of Glouster, VA Two Step-Children, June Ann Hatcher and Linda Gaye Lester 6 Step-Grandchildren – 5 Step- Great Grandchildren A Celebration of Edith’s Life will be conducted at 2:00PM Monday at Pineville Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Donations of Sympathy be made in Edith’s memory to Pineville Southern Baptist Church Youth Department.
