

Edith Marie Bilbrey Cook, 83 of Brenton passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at her residence following a long illness. Born May 30, 1932 at Glen Rogers, she was the daughter of the late Burton Isles Bilbrey and Mary Ann Jackson Bilbrey. Edith was a member of the Cooper Memorial Baptist and was a retired custodian with the Wyoming County Board of Education. She enjoyed going to church, canning, being outdoors and working jigsaw puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ned Cook; a son, James Paul “Buddy” Cook; two infant daughters, Stephanie Rose and Angela Marie and a infant son, Freddie; a brother, James Bilbrey and three sisters, Betty Uhlig, Dorothy Gilley and Annette Richards. Survivors include her son, Earl Cook and his wife, Sherry; daughter, Mary Smith Dunn and her husband, Roger and Sheila Francis Riffe and her husband, Anthony. A special daughter-in-law, Judy Lambert and her husband, Randy. Grandchildren: Toni, Cristie, Zachariah, Becky, Vince, Amber, Ashley, Amelia, Caleb, Jamie and Lisa She is also survived by numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
