

Harry “Hot Rod” Pendry, Jr. of Wyoming passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born January 20, 1957 at Pineville, he was the son of Deloris “Lois” Pendry of Wyoming and the late Harry Pendry, Sr. Harry “Hot Rod” was a member of the Cooper Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed working, woodworking, watching and going to ballgames, going to the auctions, going to church, taking care of his mother and being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Mickey Cline Pendry of the residence Daughter, Shannon Pendry and her fiancé, Terry Thomas of Bluefield Mother, Deloris “Lois” Pendry of the residence A brother, Bob Pendry and his wife, Mary Jane of Beckley 2 sisters, Alice Young and her husband, Dr. Harry Young of Mullens Kathy Cochran and her husband, John of Fanrock 3 grandchildren, Jaylen Younger, Jerran Pendry and Shade Thomas 2 nieces, Angela Walker and Sherri Breinig A nephew, Chad Pendry A celebration of Hot Rod’s life will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Cooper Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Merle Walls, Rev. Tommy Knotts, Rev. Scott Cline and Mr. Billy Joe Cooper officiating Burial will follow in the Cooper Church Cemetery, Skin Fork. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel. Joey Cooper, Ronnie McKinney, Terry Thomas, Larry Tolliver, Ron Cook, and Chris Ellis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bubbles Hatfield and Shade Thomas.
