Thelma Brooks

Born July 26, 1921 in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late William “Ott” Tilley and Almeda Kelly Tilley.

Mrs. Brooks was of the Baptist faith. She loved crocheting, gardening, working with her flowers and being with family and friends. She and her late husband, owned and operated Brooks Exxon in Glen Fork for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Roy Brooks; brothers, Jessie, Carl, Lonnie, Johnny, Ray and Garland Tilley; and sisters, Mildred Tilley, Vadie Jones, Virgie Goode, Irene Brandau and Lucy Halsey

Survivors include her sons, Larry Brooks and wife, Judy of Fairdale

Riley Brooks and wife, Cindy of Glen Fork

A brother, Riley Tilley and wife, Irene of Richmond, VA

A sister, Faye Pruitt of High Point, NC

7 Grandchildren

3 very special great-grandchildren, Carlie, Colby and Cammie Brooks

She is also survived by several other great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
