Allen E. Walbert

On Saturday, March 10, 2012 Allen E., 84 of Bethel Park beloved husband of Catherine (Calhoun) Walbert, father of Lori (Dean) Gillespie, Allen (Katherine) Walbert, Lynn (Raymond) Mawhinney, Lisa (Fred) Spor and Mark Walbert; Grandfather of David, Fred, Erika, Amy, Justin, Raymond and Lauren; Great-Grandfather of Keghun; brother of John (Helen) Walbert and the late Raymond, Melvin and Francis Walbert. Allen was a Veteran US Army WWII. He retired after 35 years as a Bethel Park school teacher of which he received numerous awards and was head of the Business Department. He maintained involvement in the Bethel Park School District as a golf coach, head of the WPIAL schedule, activity fund manager and yearbook advisor. Friends received Tuesday 10-5 p.m. at the Griffith Mortuary, Inc., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp., Where services will be held immediately following visitation at 5PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Allen’s name to the American Heart Association OR Boy Scouts of America.
