
Anna Mae peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at age 89, to be joined with her husband, Pete, family members and friends who she had missed for many years. Daughter of the late Robert H. and Bertha B. (Standfast) Hernandez of Pittsburgh; beloved wife of the late Peter F. Golias; daughter-in-law of the late Adam Golias, Sr.; and sister-in-law of the late Adam, Anna "Dolly", Joseph and his wife, Dolores Golias of Johnstown, PA; loving mother of daughters Diane J. Nelson and her husband Dennis D. "Butch" and Donna A. Golias of Observatory Hill; loving grandmother of David Peter and his wife, Dawn M. Schibler; loving great-grandmother of Matthew D. and Nicole D. Schibler of Avalon. Anna Mae was a long-time resident of Observatory Hill and had lived in Washington, D.C. for 16 years of her earlier life. The past eight years she had been a resident at Cranberry Place where she was affectionately called "Princess". She developed close bonds with nurses and aides she loved and they loved her, along with Anna Mae's humor, stubbornness and life stories. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the HEARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4047 Perrysville Ave., Observatory Hill. Mass of Christian Burial, Incarnation of the Lord Parish, Monday, 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Ross. Twp.
