Bettie "Punkin" Lois Glass

Bettie "Punkin" Glass passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born on July 11, 1931 in Pittsburgh to the late John Jay Bittner and Mary Elizabeth (Fox) Bittner.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Edwin Earl Glass Jr.

Bettie retired from K-Mart after many years of showing kindness and love to all she served. She was an avid card player, enjoyed the casinos, but above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great granddaughter, who all affectionately called her Punkin.

Bettie is survived by her children Cindi Welsh, Debbie Crowley, and Michael Edwin (Ann) Glass; grandchildren George, Dana, Kenny Lara, Craig, Billy, Danny, Julia, Jake, and Bella; great- grandchildren Austin, Katie, Shelby, Kaylin, Payton, Quinn, Grayden, Sam, Hannah, Scarlette, and Emma and great-great-granddaughter Ember.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her children Donna Rae Buchholz, Gary John Glass and Holly Colleen Sum, granddaughters Gemma Glass and Erin Crowley and brothers Jack, Don and Ray Bittner.

Visitation for Bettie will be held on Thursday from 4-8 at H.P Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh PA 15237.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
