Carol J. Bates Brooks Ludman

After a courageous four-year battle with cancer, age 75, of Shaler Township, formerly of Manchester, on Monday, April 9, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Ludman; mother of Regina Brooks (James B. Lengyel, Sr.); grandmother of Sean Eric Brooks, Karin Coyne (Michael Robertson) and James Lengyel, Jr.; great-grandmother of Zaida Coyne Brooks and Meyrn Ruby Robertson; step-mother to Mark Ludman (David Zana). Daughter of the late Frederick W. Bates and Esther Steigerwald Calio; grand-daughter of the late Pauline and Frederick Jauch and Joseph and Josephine Steigerwald; half-sister of Daniel McCann. Doggie Mom to the loyal Richie-Pooh and many other pets. Carol left this world stating, "It's been a wonderful life, and I love all those who have enteed my life." Funeral arrangements are private. If so desired, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Carol was truly loved and will be deeply missed.
