Charles Arthur Lepant
November 30, 1923 – November 9, 2019
On Saturday November 9, 2019 at 4:45PM, Charles Arthur Lepant "Chuck", age 95, peacefully went home to heaven to live forever with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born November 30,1923. Mr. Lepant was a lifelong resident of Ross Twp. Son of the late Frederick J. Lepant and Emma C. (Fechtner) Lepant; brother of the late Frederick and Kenneth Lepant. He is survived by his children, Linda Hayden (Phil Thackray) of Renfrew, Charlene Lepant (Jeff Hildebrandt) of McCandless and Charles F. Lepant (Debbie Conway) of Ross Twp. He is the grandfather of Gary Hayden (Patty), Ryan Lepant, and Clayton Thackray and great-grandfather of Rylee and Luke Hayden; also survived by two stepsons, John Quino and James Lepant, with three grandchildren, Shelly, Jim and Mike and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles served his country honorably in the South Pacific, during WWII, as part of the United States Marine Corps - Sixth Marine Division where he received two Purple Hearts. After the war he worked as a heavy construction mechanic and was a 71-year member of Operating Engineers Local #66. He was a long-standing member of West View Post #2754, also a 44-year member of Calvary Baptist Church in Allison Park. He was active throughout his life, and especially enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities, vacationing in Michigan and was a lover of animals.
Friends received Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 2 until 8 PM, at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township (412-364-4444). Committal service with military honors will take place Friday, November 15, 2019 at his gravesite in Allegheny County Memorial Park, 1600 Duncan Ave. Allison Park, PA 15237, at 11 AM.
A going home celebration will be held Saturday, November 23 at 12:30 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Allison Park, PA. To honor his love for his country, the family requests that you wear patriotic colors. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 4765 S.
