Charles Daub Ziel

Charles “Chuck” D. Ziel, age 94 of Valencia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Husband of the late Rosemary (Gregg) and Anna (Wappler) Ziel; loving father of Louise Z. (Dale) Stevens of New Freedom, PA, Rosemary Ziel of Frankfort, Kentucky; step-father of Jeffrey (Evelyn) Wappler of Baden, Lynn Wappler (Charles) of Naples, FL; proud grand-dad of Meredith Zanni (Scott) of Olney, MD, Melissa Stevens (Alex Hou) of Falls Church, VA and great-grandad of Emily & Ryan Zanni and Maxwell Hou; also survived by step- children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; brother of the late Gwendolyn Simpson; uncle of late William Simpson. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444). Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1719 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA 15116. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial donations to The church. Chuck was the Past President of the American Foundrymen’s Society.
