Christian Z Schove

Christian Z. Schove, of Allison Park, age 78 passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2021 while surrounded by friends and family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 18 in Allison Park, son of the late Christian Z. and Jean (Found) Schove. Christian graduated from Shady side Academy before attending Lafayette College, graduating in 1968 with a Degree in Civil Engineering. Christian also served in the United Stated Army from 1968 – 1970. He was the co-founder of Chapel Construction Company whose reputation for quality workmanship was well known throughout Western Pennsylvania. Christian’s moto was “Do it the right way or don’t do it at all.” An avid sports fan, Christian was a Steeler season ticket holder since their playing days at Forbes Field. During his final days, Christian was determined to bring laughter and joy to those around him, especially his caregivers at Passavant Hospital. Christian is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Beverly, sister Lois (Eberhardt), stepdaughter Kari Molnar (David), stepson Roy Newman (Mary), six grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as many nieces and dear friends. He was preceded in death by parents Christian and Jean, sister Katharine (Katchie) McClean, and grandson Ron Dax. Services will be held at Brandt Funeral Home located at 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, Pa 15237; on Saturday, February 13, 2021 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that charitable donations be made to the Passavant Hospital Foundation.
