Dad,
Another Christmas has gone by and it hasn’t been any easier. I miss your voice, your hugs and most of all the love that a father and daughter shared.
You know that mom has been trying to get through every day. That woman’s strength, support and love have been amazing. I understand every day why you would love her the way you did. 
A part of me is at peace knowing you and David are together, but I struggle not having the both of you physically here. Please continue to watch over us.

Well it's Christmas once again, a Christmas without you being with the family.  Inside of me, I am very sad that you, David, Mary Lou and Jimmy aren't here to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. As years go by, it doesn't get easier, sometimes harder. Dad, it seems like yesterday that you were still here with us. My heart has been broken since the day you left. And now with David gone life has really been difficult. I’m proud of mom because she continues to be the strong one who holds everything together. I have a feeling you will be getting another loved one soon. Yeah Hon, I know I forgot to write down something on your birthday. Happy Belated Birthday, you would have been 75 years old. On your birthday or any day of the year, I still miss you so much. I have had such a hard time writing this but today it has been 4 weeks since our son, David left me just as you did and Mary Lou did.  The grief I have is a heavy load to bear. You always told me that you wanted to die before me and that's what David always said to me.  He had such a hard time with you dying, he just couldn't handle it.  Then what Josh and Juliett did to him put him in such a dark place that he couldn't get out of.  Dave, he suffered so much, we all tried to help him but he was beyond help.  I pray that he is with you and that he is in peace with you. I know you'll take care of him and he is happy to be with you.  He was a very good son, just as you were a very good husband, we were proud of him and Tina. My heart is now broken into many pieces and I don't think it will ever be mended. Best friend throughout all of the years. David was the protective big brother and Tina was always the instigator. David knew and protected her anyways. A bond between a brother and sister that would never be broken.

Dad….wow! How have times changed since you passed on to an eternal, peaceful rest. Now David has joined you.  We both know that things shouldn’t have turned out this way. The only comfort I have is knowing you two are together. Both at peace and together again. I think the two of you are smiling down at mom and I knowing that we will get through this together. We will because that is what our family always have done. You would be so proud of Andy and Bri. They are finally engaged. To be honest dad she is a god sent. Me and. Mom absolutely adore her. Jacob is such a hard worker and strives for nothing less than 100%. He has an incredible girlfriend too. Life here has seemed to go on but it will never be complete without you and especially without David. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. When the sun shines, down,  I feel the warmth of your love on my face and in my heart. When the rain falls down  I know it is okay to cry because I miss you. Just please watch over us as you always have. And without mention, you have Aunt Mary Lou to reminisce about all of the wonderful memories too.

It has been 2 years today since my loving husband left us, it seems much longer than that, much longer.  Everyone says it gets easier but it hasn't for me maybe because I still live in the house we shared,  it could be for many reasons.  All I really know is that, I really miss him and wish he was still here.  I will love him for the rest of my life!

Today would have been our 53rd wedding anniversary. All I have are memories of the wonderful man I married, which doesn't take away the sadness in my broken heart. I miss all of his little quirks, his smile and laughter, his hugs and kisses.  I'll always love Dave, there could never be anyone who can take his place, no one.  My life has gone on, in a different way but I would give anything to have the old way, which I know can never be.

Hey"D" ,they say time heals the pain well they were wrong, because everyday the pain is still here and just as bad as day one,I constantly find myself looking for you so I can say hi dad I miss ya and I love ya and your not there and back comes the pain. It has been one year since we kissed, hugged, I heard your voice, I heard you laugh, seen you smile and seen you cry. Today is the first day of a new year and the first day of last year which was one of the worst years of my life.  Everyone says it will get easier but I don't know how to make it easier.  I miss my husband, Dave, who was so loving, caring, thoughtful and helpful, no one could and never will take his place.  All I can do is hope and pray for a better year ahead. I just learned of Dave's passing today, looking at the June edition of the Passavant Volunteer Voice newsletter.  Dave was such a blessing to my mother, Betty, driving her to the Senior Center and various other places.  He treated her SO good and really cared.  Mom passed away Nov. 2017 and we still have the winter cactus that he had given her.  God Bless and comfort you all while you are missing your husband and father!!!!

Dave, my angel, who has been gone from me for 6 months. I still miss you and love you just as much as I did the day you passed.  I'll never forget how  your hugs and kisses feel.  Stay beside me till the day I come to see you.  You are forever in my heart!  Thank You for being you.

Today was our 52nd anniversary of our marriage. I will always be married to you, no one will ever take your place.  I remember the day we got married and how it was a bad start to our life together, but time past and we got thru it all. I've been wanting to tell you dad,how proud you would be of mom in her efforts to ready herself for her surgery, I'm more then sure she doing it for not only herself but for you big guy and I know you'll be with her every step of the way and I will do my best to take care of her as I promised you,anyways dad I love ya,miss ya and I will miss not having you here to wish you a Happy Father's Day ,but I will always still wish it for you!!

I face every day with emptiness knowing that you're not here with me.  You fought a hard battle and was so brave knowing that you were going to die. Tears stream down my face knowing that YOU, the part of my heart is missing today and every tomorrow.  The memories of our 51 years of marriage, hopefully will help me thru these troubled times. Dad, I’m at a loss for words.  My heart aches and I will never be the same person without you. I want to say Thank You for so many reasons. First for being an amazing dad. You were always there for me when I needed you. We always had a bond I can only hope any daughter would dream to have with her dad. Hey dad it's still so hard to fathom your gone,I find myself constantly wanting to wake up and your here once again all better and not sick. I'm sorry it ended this way I truly am,I prayed and wished so very hard for your recovery but you and God had other plans and thats ok because I know your at peace as you wanted to be. Charlene, You and your family have my deepest condolences.  Dave volunteered at the YMCA Senior Center and played cards with us on Thursdays.  He was a very wonderful man and a good friend.  We always enjoyed his many stories and I can say our lives were enriched by knowing him.  He was a great, good man and will be missed by many.

I love you pap ill be there once a week to talk to you gunna miss you like crazy every single day knowing i cant look you in the eyes and feel better. I couldn’t have asked for a better grandfather, role model, friend, and man to have in my life. You were always and always will be my hero. I was David’s nurse recently at Passavant. I feel so blessed I had the opportunity to meet him and get to know a little bit of his life in the few days I had him as a patient. I  pray that God provides peace and comfort to his family.
