Dolores W. Stewart

Dolores W. (Walliser) Stewart, age 92 of Avalon, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Stewart; loving mother of Sharon Stewart Schurman, Ken (Sallie) Stewart and Janet Stewart; grandmother of Todd (Jaimie) Schurman, Jay (Missy) Stewart and Matt (Casey) Stewart. Also survived by four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William Walliser, Jr.

Dolores was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Avalon, Suburban General Hospital Axillary, Mellwood Women’s Club, a graduate of Avalon High School and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, Northside Chapter. She was also a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard during WW II.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 3-8pm in the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave, Avalon, 412-766-5600., where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 638 California Ave, Pgh, PA 15202.
