Dorothy Virginia Oliver
July 25, 1930 – September 6, 2019
Virginia Dorothy Oliver, AKA Ginny, Toots & Grams- Longtime resident of Avalon, PA. Born July 25th, 1930 peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side on September 6, 2019.
Ginny returned to work in 1967 as a hostess working for Stouffer’s Restaurants, where she remained until they closed in the early 90's. She went on to work at Holiday Inn until retirement at age 70.
Ginny loved many things. Her family, her friends that were family. Classic Disney movies, mostly Snow White. Going to the beach even though she didn’t know how to swim. Doing puzzles at all hours and baking chocolate pies! Ginny loved all types of adventures and traveling without ever driving. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, mostly Troy Polamalu.
Ginny is survived by her daughter Karen (McClelland) Nebiolo; Her sister Jane Augustine married to the late Regis Augusty; her grandchildren Andrew, Meghan and Shannon Nebiolo. Her great grandchildren, Eloise Opal Nebiolo and baby Nebiolo due in February. Ginny’s nieces and nephews were very near and dear to her heart. Susan Caputo(deceased) her children, Daniel Caputo (Cole and Sadie Caputo) and Andrea Caputo (Rohen and Brielle Westgate). Rona Augusty Smith married to Mark Smith, their children, Mackenzie Smith Hamilton married to Garrett Hamilton (Bryce and Lucy Hamilton) and Gregory Smith married to Paige Kettering Smith. Mark Augusty married to Laurie Augusty, their child Sarah Augusty Newman is married to Steve Newman (Jackson and Emmalynn Newman). Phyllis Lebrun, her children, Ronna, Reid and Chase Lebrun. And Matt Augusty.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents Andrew & Opal Moore and her son Gary McClelland and niece Susan Caputo. Per Ginny’s request there will not be a formal service held but a celebration of life planned at a later date.
