Dorothy Richey

Beloved mother of Kevin M. Richey. She is survived by her sister Roberta Dillon, her nephew Scott Dillon, niece Robin Dillon, and all those who kept her in their hearts. Dorothy was born September 28, 1950, in West View to Raymond J. Wesolek and Elizabeth Wesolek (Lawry). She was formerly married to Glen Richey of McCandless.

She graduated from North Hills High School in 1968 and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she studied business and education. She was a teacher at North Hills High School for twenty-nine years. Since her retirement she enjoyed traveling, working in her garden, playing with her cats Lucy, Oliver, and Bailey, and spending time with her friends and family. She was also active with her high school reunion committee and North Hills School District retirees.

Family will welcome friends Tuesday, September 16, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at H. P.Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Internment will take place Friday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at Ingomar M.E. Church Cemetery, 1501 W. Ingomar Road,Pittsburgh, PA 15237.In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Animal Friends, 552 Camp Horne Road,Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
