Edward A. Appelt, 80 of Ross Township, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 14, 2026. Edward was born on April 27, 1946 in Pittsburgh to the late William and Agnes (Skerlong) Appelt. He was a proud Navy Veteran and member of the Avalon Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy (Salamon). They were married for 58 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Tracy (Eric) Starr and Chad (Stephanie) Appelt; grandchildren Taylor (Andy) Magyan, Jake and Emma Starr, and Melanie and Wesley Appelt; great granddaughter Josie and sister Marianne Cibulas.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers William and James.
