Eleanor K Haas

Eleanor Kaufman Haas, 85, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on January 5, 2022. Eleanor was born in Pittsburgh to the late Nathan and Rose Kaufman on May 12, 1936. She grew up in Squirrel Hill and was a graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School. She spent 39 years in Florida before returning to Pittsburgh in 2009. She was active in the Democratic Party in Pittsburgh and Florida, eventually chairing the Miami-Dade Democratic Party. She was a dedicated volunteer at St. Margaret Hospital and Northland Public Library, as well as a talented cook and baker. She is survived by her brother, Herbert Kaufman, sister-in-law Mary T. Kaufman, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces.
