Enrico A. “Rick” Furgiuele, of West View, passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on May 14, 1953, Rick was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family.
Rick loved his family deeply and took great pride in the people he loved. He was happiest when surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Being a grandfather was a role he cherished, and his grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
Outside of his family, Rick had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also had a special compassion for animals and was known for caring for and helping injured and wild animals in need. He had a gentle heart when it came to animals and took great joy in giving them a second chance.
Rick had a special way of making the Christmas season magical. He loved spreading Christmas joy by becoming Santa Claus, bringing smiles and excitement to children and families. He embraced the role wholeheartedly and created special memories that will be cherished for years to come. He also enjoyed making fudge and sharing it with family and friends, adding his own sweetness to the holiday season.
Rick is survived by his children, Melissa (Kevin) Morgan, Rick (Anna) Furgiuele, and Amy Winfry. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Randi (Joe), Rhiannon, Samantha, Jaelyn, Jordan, Mekenzie (Kaden), Camryn, Sean, Ricky, and Kyle, as well as his many great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous love and joy.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Enrico F. and Mary E. Furgiuele; his beloved wife, Connie “Mimi” Furgiuele; his son, Enrico Furgiuele; and his grandson, Kevin Jr. Morgan.
Friends will be received at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Highway Pittsburgh PA 15237 on Friday October 9th from 2-4 and 6-8.
