I just learned of Erin's passing. We had a show together on WRCT, CMU's college radio station, and were housemates for a while, although I lost touch after leaving Pittsburgh and just looked her up.

I'm so sad that she passed away. It must be awful; it's awful for me to learn of her passing. So many memories, and such a wonderful person, taken from this earth too soon.

I sadly just learned of Erin's passing today, June 29, 2015. We played in the IUP orchestra together in the mid to late 80's when we were both students at IUP. She was a dear friend and will sorely be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family.

The pain of losing a best friend is now proven to be as great as a family member. There are too many memories and thought..too personal to put here. But Erin I loved you hopefully as much as you showed me you loved me. A better friend I couldn't ask for. My heart aches every day. I miss u sooooo much.

My more timely/previous note apparently did not post. I don't want you to think I was unaware or uncaring, so I'm sending another hoping it reaches you & your family...
I'm sooo sorry for your sudden loss of Erin recently. We never got really close, you and I, but I always felt a bond as I was also a teacher. Losing both my parents last year was hard enough; I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child so suddenly. My heart goes out to you. Sincerely, Donna (128 RICHMOND Circle)

Dear Hutter Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear Erin.
I was fortunate to have known her during my days as a teacher at Ross Elementary in the late 90s and early 2000s. We had similar musical tastes and I enjoyed her creative spirit and laugh. May you find some comfort at this difficult time and know that she touched many lives throughout her journey.
The song is ended, but the melody lingers on...

Very saddened and surprised to learn of Erin's passing. We shared the airwaves at WRCT radio some time ago. Oddly enough a song came on the radio this past Monday (10/27) by a band they shared a bill with that made me think of her (Magnetic Fields/Boxstep show). Age 48 is much too young to leave this earthly world but it is evident that she lived those years to the fullest and touched many lives along the way.
