James "Jim" M. Sherman

James "Jim" Michael Sherman, age 68, passed away November 28, 2017 at his home. Jim was born in Iowa, raised in the Pittsburgh area and later lived in western New York before relocating to Charlotte. Jim married the love of his life Linda Sherman on April 4, 1985 and they were happily married until she passed in 2011. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren both near and far. Jim loved to travel, going on cruises with close friends, spending time at Myrtle Beach, playing golf and going country line dancing. Jim enjoyed telling a good joke and was always the life of the party. Jim was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in North Tonawanda, NY. Jim was a manufacturing sales representative, and later owned his own company called Pow-R-Tronics before he retired. Jim is preceded in death by his wife; Linda Sherman, parents; Norman and Nina Salapow Sherman and sister; Linda Logue. Jim is survived by his step children; F. Joseph Schuler and wife Cheryl Schuler of Tonawanda, NY, Melissa Schuler Averi and husband Mark Averi of Marvin, NC, grandchildren; Mary Reimer, Amanda Reimer and Jeffrey Schuler, great grandchildren; Benjamin Reimer, Emily Jamieson, and Makayla Jamieson, sister; Emma (Drue) Fischer, and brothers; Norman (Burdell) Sherman, Tom (Ruth Ann) Sherman and David (Martha) Sherman and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Orion C. PInkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave. Avalon, PA 15202 (412-766-5600).
