Jane Fiorentino

The fourth of six children born in Rossiter, Pennsylvania to her Italian immigrant parents, Carl & Jenni Caliguri, Jane moved with them to Washington DC in 1932. Jane attended secretarial business school in 1937 and began a 30-year Civil Service career with the Social Security Administration in 1938. She met the former Washington Redskins player and long-time manager of The Washington Touchdown Club, Albert Fiorentino, in the spring of 1944. They married a year later on May 5, 1945, and had one son, Michael, in March 1946. Jane and Al travelled extensively with The Club Manager’s Association. After their respective retirements, they relocated from Wheaton, Maryland to Butler, Pennsylvania in 2000.

Jane’s parents, siblings, spouse, and son preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Terry O’Connor Fiorentino of Pittsburgh, Michael’s three children; Renee, Michael Jr., and Mark, from a prior marriage, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the H P Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, 412-364-4444 on Monday, January 25th from 8:30AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at St Teresa of Avila Church, 1000 Avila Court, Ross Township at 10AM.

A private burial ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 30th at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.

Donations in Jane’s memory may be made to the St. Teresa of Avila Church Visitation of the Sick Program at 1000 Avila Court, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Flowers delivered to H P Brandt Funeral Home for the visitation will be redistributed to Manor Care for the enjoyment of the staff and patients.
