JOHN WILLIAM BANN
Age 72 of North Hills passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Loving father of Noah, brother of James (Kathryn), stepbrother of Richard Rohde, and cousin of Penny Sherwood-Hudson, both of Florida. Uncle of Justin (Susan) Bann and grand-uncle of Katelyn and Samantha of Shaler. John especially enjoyed fishing with his son, Noah, and attending his little league games. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He loved the outdoors and visiting our national parks.
A 1967 graduate of Rye High School in New York, John, (known as “Hawaiian John" to his friends) served in the U.S. Air Force, as a communications specialist based in Hawaii for 3-years, attaining the rank of sergeant. In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be a simple cremation without visitation.
