

John Fairman “Jack” Lacock, age 90 of Needham, MA., passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was born July 4, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Gideon S. and Margaret B. (Fairman) Lacock. Jack attended the Kiski School, graduated from Perry H.S. and furthered his education at Penn State University. After college, Jack began a 25 year career with Mellon Bank, having worked in various capacities there. While at Mellon he served as President of the Mellon Bank Club. After Mellon, Jack went on to American Express where he worked for 20 years as a securities trader.
In his free time, Jack enjoyed dancing and loved to travel with his family, especially on their many road trips. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and was a Shriner. Despite where his career may have taken him, Jack still enjoyed rooting for his hometown Pittsburgh sports teams. Jack was best known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He was a good friend and could always make you smile.
He was the beloved husband of Carole (Wohler) Lacock, loving father of Amy (Robert) Lacock Kennedy and grandfather of Chloe, Henry and Lily Kennedy.
Friends will be received Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10am until the time of funeral service at 11am in the HP Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy, Ross Twp., 412-364-4444.
