Beloved husband of 41 years to Maria Talpas; devoted father of Stephen (Natalie) Talpas of Oakmont; proud Pap Pap of Nicholas and William Talpas; brother of George, Helen and the late Michael Talpas. John served his country honorably as a Beachmaster in the U.S. Navy. Friends will be received 6-8 PM Sunday and 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, 412-364-4444, where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army.
