Kathleen "Kathy" Rock

Kathleen "Kathy" Rock, age 83, of Ross Twp, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 while surrounded by her biological family and her wonderful staff family at Arden Courts North Hills, Promedica. We would like to thank them for their quaint and pleasant environment and consistently loving care of our beloved Kathy.

Kathy was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA. and grew up in Fineview on the North Side to the late Ambrose Rock and Mary (Vrana) Rock. She spent her life serving others, with and without fur. Kathy contributed to the community as a house parent for Holy Family, and special needs educator and mentor for the North Hills School District. A certified animal trainer, Kathy's skills led her to train a cat for a local movie, teach obedience classes for Allegheny County Community College, and gave CPR to a baby squirrel. She was a regular contributing author for "The Golden Retriever News". Her favorite past times included tennis, board games, dog breeding and training, and nature walks. Kathy was a great cook. Kathy's smile and her sense of humor will be missed and she will be remembered for contributing to a more loving world.

Kathy leaves behind her husband Robert Rock. She's the loving mother to the late Mark R. Rock, Noelle R. Rock, Christian D. Rock. Grandmother to Gopala, Sitara and Chayanne and loving sister to Susan Ruzomberka and the late Patricia "Pat" Boehm. Kathy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

As per Kathy's wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers please donate to Animal Friends https://www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org/ in loving memory of Kathy.
