To Kerbie's family: Please accept my deepest sympathies. I worked with Kerbie in Blair County for just two years but in that time she had an amazing impact on my life. When I moved here from the Pittsburgh area I had no connections to speak of and Kerbie became one of my nearest and dearest friends. We clicked in a way that is so rare, we never required explanation - we just understood one another on a very basic level. We shared a love of people and of the work we did in our adopted home. Luckily we were often called on to work as a team and I genuinely believe that we did some of our greatest work together. Words could not begin to describe how heartbroken I am at her passing. I will miss her always and think of her often. Kerbie was an amazing woman and a wonderful friend.

I graduated high school with Kerbie and I was so shocked and saddened when I found out she was gone. Kerbie was always so sweet and kind to everyone. I wasn’t very close with her but we always talked and laugh together in the classes we did have. I regret not getting to know her more when we had time. I am so sorry for her family for their incredible loss.

I am grateful to have met Kerbie. We share a lot of memories inside and outside of our jobs. Our porch hangs were always the best and I will never forget those nights. The last time I was there, we were talking about how crazy the moon looked and that we made a date for the full moon if she was feeling better. 💛💫

I worked with Kerbie at the probation office several years back. She was the only other person I knew who loved Counting On as much as me. Also, Kerbie helped me on my mission a year ago to find Funfetti coffee creamer. She had a huge heart and was always pleasant. She will be missed.

Fickter Family,
I got to work with Kerbie in Adult Probation. Kerbie’s laugh was contagious! She would go out of her way to help anyone. Please know that your family has our thoughts and prayers. The office surely is not the same, she is missed already!

She had been a good friend of mine for years, a beautiful spirit and wonderful soul to lean on. I will forever cherish the bad date chats, dislike in each other's musical tastes, and bonding over criminal justice issues. Forever in my thoughts ❤️
