Matt Matan, Jr., 90, of Huddleston, VA, formerly of Bellevue, on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Beloved husband of 47 years to the late Helen H. Matan; loving father of Virginia Hufnagel, Doris (James) Fack; grandfather of 4 and great-grandfather of 9. Also survived by his sister, Anna Matan; daughter-in-law Sally Matan; nieces Yvonne Homitsky and Keri Ochs and cousin Dolly Schweiger. Preceded in death by his son James M. Matan and brother and sister Rose and Joe Matan. Matt served proudly in the US Army and is a veteran of WWII.
Friends received Friday from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm and Saturday from 10am until time of service 12pm at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon 412-766-5600. Interment to follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations suggested to Kevin W. Matan, Matts grandson who has multiple sclerosis.
