Matt, aka, Bo by those closest to him, was a cherished son, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. A$$hole will always be the 1st word that comes to mind when you think of Bo. Not because of what we thought of him but because that's how he regularly referred to himself. In Many ways, perhaps he was. He was loud, judgmental, opinionated and messy. To those that knew and loved him he was kind, gentle, generous and absolutely hysterical (although crass). He had a wonderful sense of humor and was never afraid to make fun of himself. He always made people smile.

Matt loved those closest to him because he gave his entire heart, although sometimes quietly and from a great distance. He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends and to some who did not deserve it. His laughter, smile and love of loud motors will live on in the Matt-size hole that is now left in our hearts.

Matt is survived by his loving mother, Victoria Pope his step father David Brown who he loving called pops, his father Douglas Pelkofer. His cherished sisters; the Irish twin, Nicole Pelkofer (Peter) and Angela King (Brad), His brother AJ Pope (Becky) and his step brothers Cody, Nash, and Bruin. He also leaves behind his son Brody and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by his dog Harley.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents Matt and Elaine Pope and great grandmother Helen Goodman. Matt worked as a Master Mechanic for Jim Shorkey Dealership for many years he will be missed by his co-workers and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future by family. H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh Pa 15237 412-364-4444

From the first day I knew you were family.
When you working next to my brother, to being at my parents. You always showed the up most respect to all of us. To the days that I would bring my Jeep in to have something done to it. I would always ask for to you to work on it,oryou would take priority on it. To letting me in the shop knowing that you and I could get both of us in trouble, saying “it’s cool she knows” and showing me exactly what was wrong. I can never thank you enough.
You will be truly missed!
Fly higher than you ever have my angel!

It's said God only takes the best for his flock, he has definitely chosen a good angel, I wish he hadn't taken you so soon as you ARE much loved here...
When we rode together with the brothers you and I were side by side as tailight charlies, I always thought it was to keep the law from chasing them as they needed a blocker!
Ride on Bo, ride on with Beav and Jennifer, we'll all hopefully be together again.... I'm thinking God has a Grand Caravan that needed the AC fixed.....
Love you bro

Matt would come to the Fox and Hound when I was a server there for many years. He always gave me a big hug and sometimes brought Brody with him for a meal. He loved that boy! My heart aches for his son and family! He was a sweet guy! RIP Matt!
