Peter M. Kurtz, age 73 of Emsworth, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born December 13, 1943 in Elder Twp., a son of the late John P. and Grace R. (Swartz) Kurtz. He was the beloved husband of Nancy A. (Weymer) Kurtz; loving father of Christine and Jennifer Kurtz. He is also survived by his siblings; Melvin Kurtz, June Schneider, Thomas Kurtz, Nancy Yeager, Patricia Piatiak, Robert Kurtz and George Kurtz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings; John C. Kurtz, Daniel Kurtz, Michael Kurtz and Mary Urban.
Peter was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a longtime electrician with IBEW #5.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave, Avalon, 412-766-5600. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Emsworth on Monday at 10am.
