Philip H. Bohr Jr.

On Thursday, July 23, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, age 71, of Observatory Hill. Beloved husband of 51 years to Rosemary (Brisco) Bohr; cherished father of Philip III (Kathy), Nicholas (Bridgette), Michael and Thomas (Kristy) Bohr; adored pappy of Samantha and Taylor Bohr; brother of Eileen Gordon, William Bohr and Margie Korsak; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the HEARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4047 Perrysville Ave., Observatory Hill. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11 a.m. at Incarnation of the Lord Parish. Phil was a retiree of the US Postal Office where he worked for 39 years serving his home community of Observatory Hill for 20 years. Also he honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the American Legion Post #0081 and the West View VFW Post #2754. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
