Phyllis is survived by her children, Elaine Erny, Kathy (Mike Cardillo) Erny, Theresa (Erny) Burruano, and David Erny; her grandchildren, Carlena (Erny) (Tony) Longmire, Kayla Erny, Dillon Carr, Christian (Brittany Perez) Carr, Nathan Burruano, and Zach Burruano; her great grandchildren, Victor Parks and Brixtan Johnson.
Phyllis was born September 11, 1935, to the late Phillip and Dorothy Schwartz of Pittsburgh. Phyllis graduated from St. Benedicts Academy. She went to work for Union National Bank in downtown Pittsburgh. Phyllis met her future husband, Joseph S. Erny (deceased) in 1951. The couple married in 1956. Their first child was born in 1957. She was a homemaker, wife, and loving mother. She was always in motion caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and home. She was a hard worker and her home was immaculate. Phyllis ran the home while Joe worked for IBM for 34 years.
