Rita Mae Byrnes

Rita M Byrnes, age 97, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was reunited with her one and only late Francis W. "Frank" Byrnes on January 13, 2024. Together they raised their children; Maureen (late David) Worst, Michael (late Darlene) Byrnes, Susan (Don) Vey, Linda Byrnes, Patti (Rudy) Arensberg and Robert Byrnes. Rita's greatest joy was the love of her family. She was immensely proud of her 18 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Rita leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Rita and Frank enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and Europe. Rita was outgoing and good hearted. Her life was all about caring for others, nurturing and loving. She worked as a CNA at Suburban General Hospital; After retiring she volunteered at Suburban General Hospital and Divine Providence as well.

Friends are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 on Wednesday January 17, 2024, from 2PM to 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on January 18, 2024, at 10AM at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church 3854 Brighton Road Pittsburgh PA 15212. Burial will take place at Christ our Redeemer Cemetery.
