It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Charles Braumuller. He died on January 15, 2022, at the age of 90. Born in Mineola New York on June 22, 1931, Robert grew up in Valley Stream New York where he met his future wife, Lenore Shea. After graduating from Valley Stream Central High School, they married and moved to Anchorage Alaska where Bob served in the United States Air force during the Korean war.
After his military service, Bob went to night school and graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Civil Engineering, launching a career as an entrepreneur in diverse businesses that had a technology focus. Over the course of his long work life, he formed multiple companies employing hundreds of people. His last business specialized in integrating laser systems into manufacturing and other automated processes.
Bob’s greatest contributions were in the steadfast love and support that he gave to his wife, four children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his drive to create, zest for life and adventure, willingness to take on new challenges and learn new things, reckless optimism and, above all, for his love of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lenore S. Braumuller, his daughters Charlene Hock and Karen King and son Robert Braumuller, as well as his extended family and friends. We will miss him terribly.
There will be a Catholic Mass on Saturday May 21st 2022 at 11:30 at St. John Neumann Parish (2230 Rochester Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 • [email protected] • 412-366-5885) followed by a Celebration of Life in his honor held at a location to be determined.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc. 1032 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
