

Robert E. Martin, III, passed away on May 26, 2023. Born in 1944 to Robert E. Martin, Jr. and Dorothy Martin (Becker), he was raised in Bellevue alongside and survived by his older sister Marilyn Martin, of Penn Hills. He was a hard-working man with over 35 years at Duquesne Light and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was an avid Nascar fan and classic car enthusiast. Robert was preceded in death just a few weeks earlier by his wife, Janet.
Janet D. Martin (Scott), passed away on May 8, 2023. Born in 1943 to George and Dorothy Scott, she was raised in Avalon and preceded in death by her siblings, Susan, Carol, twin sister Judy, and brother Michael. You would have never met a bigger animal lover than Janet. She had many adored cats in her lifetime and enjoyed feeding the deer, squirrels, and birds. She was generous to the World Wildlife Fund and had a devoted affection for all things Jacqueline Kennedy.
Robert and Janet are survived by Robert’s children, daughter DawnLynn Clark (Jim) of Gibsonia, PA and Robert J. Martin (Nicole) of Greensburg, PA; and five grandchildren: Joshua, Alyssa, Lauren, Rylee and Roman. Additionally, numerous loving nieces and nephews. Per both of their wishes, funerals will not be held. Robert and Janet will rest in eternal peace together at the Mount Royal mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks you to make a donation to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation or World Wildlife Fund in their memories.
