Ronald James Kranz

Born on December 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles Kranz and Kathryn Schade.

Ron was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He spent 35 years working as a mechanic for UPS, where he built a long and dedicated career.

Outside of work, Ron was an avid motorcyclist with a deep passion for travel. He was a BMW rider and a member of BMW MOA, Western PA Retreads, and Four Winds BMW Riders. Over the years, he traveled extensively across the country-coast to coast-visiting friends and family and attending motorcycle rallies. He formed lasting friendships along the way and was recognized by BMW MOA for achieving over 300,000 miles ridden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Kranz (December 2024). Ron is survived by his son, Ken Kranz (Tosha Kranz); his daughter, Jennifer Piccola (Jason Piccola); his grandsons, Luke and Caleb Piccola; his brother, Charles Kranz; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
