

Rose Marie (Gimber) Vukson, originally from the Troy Hill area of Pittsburgh, who later raised her family in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at the age of 95.
Born on January 26, 1930, Rose Marie was the daughter of the late Reinhart and Emma (Beck) Gimber. She was a devoted member of the Catholic faith. Rose Marie worked for many years as a custodian for the North Hills School District, where she was known for her dedication and quiet strength.
Her life was centered around her family, whom she loved deeply and supported unconditionally. She spent over 21 years living at Alexis Manor, where she formed cherished friendships and was part of a close-knit community.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas N. Vukson, and by her six sisters: Ruth Kernan, LaVerne Kernan, Violet Craig, Jean Frederick, Carol Vukson, and Lois Bolsinger. She was the last surviving of the Gimber sisters.
She is survived by her three sons:
Joseph T. Vukson and his wife Joan,
John T. Vukson, and his late wife Sue,
Thomas R. Vukson and his wife Susan.
She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren:Wendy Miller, Joseph T. Vukson Jr. (Jessica), John T. Vukson Jr., Emily Vukson, Valerie Jagta (Marcus), Natalie Vukson, and TJ Vukson.
She is also survived by three great-grandchildren:Jordan Vukson, Jaclyn Vukson, and Claire Miller.
Rose Marie will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family and her unwavering faith.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during a viewing at Brandt Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, from 2–4 PM and again from 6–8 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Alexis Roman Catholic Church
