Ruth L. Hirsch

Ruth L. Hirsch, 90, of Squirrel Hill, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. She was the dearly beloved wife for 67 years of Burton L. Hirsch. Loving mother of Maxine Hirsch Petteway and the late Loren R. Hirsch. In addition to her husband and daughter she is survived by a sister, Betty Leff-Lewis; also survived by niece E. Bonnie Lewis, cousin Joann Friedman and numerous other cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Hirsch were beloved members of the Squirrel Hill community and were the owners of the former Burton L. Hirsch Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Hirsch was a member of the Rodef Shalom Congregation where she was active in many organizations, as well as being very active in the numerous Jewish organizations in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Hirsch's funeral service will be at 11am Friday, September 17, 2010, in the sanctuary of Rodef Shalom Congregation, 4905 Fifth Ave., Oakland, followed by interment in West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation. The family will be receiving friends in the Aaron Courtyard of Rodef Shalom from 10am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Loren R.
