Sallie May Diaz

She was born on March 31, 1944 to Leonard and Nellie Vaughn. She served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. After the military she moved to Connecticut, had two sons, & worked for the UCONN health center as an administrative assistant where she retired from in 2002. During her many years she loved & served the lord with all her heart, starting out with teaching Sunday school to children, being a part of bible studies & many other ministries within the church over the course of her life She loved sewing and was an avid seamstress, also a world traveler visiting many countries.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Greg & Glenn Diaz; granddaughters Rachel & Sarah Diaz; & many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16 from 4 - 6 PM at H.P. Brandt, 1032 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, PA 15237; a private burial will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
