Sara Heyl Miller

On Wednesday, February 17th, 2016, in Longwood, Florida, age 98 , formerly of Ross Township. Wife of the late Charles E. Miller. Loving mother of Gordon C. Miller (Elaine) of Matthews, N.C., and the late Susan M. Rumancik (the late Joseph A.) of Longwood, Florida. Proud Grandmother of Andrew G. Miller (Jennifer) of Taylorsville, NC, Laura E. Miller of Charlotte, N.C., Sara R. Ginder (Michael) of Columbia, PA and Jonathan J. Rumancik of Orlando, FL and three great-granddaughters; Meredith S. Miller, Emery S. Miller and Josie Ginder. Sara a graduate of Perry High School Class of ’35, received a BS from Carnegie Tech in 1939. She taught school in Ambridge and the Pittsburgh Public Schools, and in her later years she enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Sara was a dedicated member of Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church for 49 years and also served her neighborhood as an election judge in Ross Township. Sara retired to Longwood Florida in 2003. Friends will be received Wednesday from 11 AM until time of service at 12 Noon at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444). Burial will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.
