Stephen Richard Lux, age 95, of Ross Township, peacefully passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on October 21, 2026 at Grace Manor at North Park in Allison Park, where he had been lovingly cared for as a resident there since December 2021.
He was the oldest son of the late Stephen and Gertrude (Unger) Lux.
"Steve" was a retired salesman from Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he held the title of number one salesman for many years.
He was a member of the U.S. National Guard in the early 1950's and later in life, he was very proud to be a temporary member of the Deputy Sheriffs Association of PA.
Steve had fun buying his first motorcycle at the age of 70, and rode it regularly and safely for the next 10 years, much to the amazement of all of us!
His prior hobby was buying and restoring vintage Morris Minor cars, which he did with great precision. He was very pleased when a magazine used a photo of one of the cars he finished on the front cover. Steve was gifted with his artistic talent for beautiful water and oil paintings that we will always cherish.
Steve met his future wife "Dolly" at a New York Bible Camp, pastored by his uncle, when they were still in high school, and married two years later. He enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 69 years and 9 months with his beautiful wife, Dolores, who passed away June 23, 2020.
Together they were faithful members of Northgate Church in West View, PA. They loved the Lord, the church, and were blessed by the many friendships they made there.
He is survived by daughter Cheryl Rieger and son, Rick Lux. He is also survived by one sister, Susan (Lillian) Dean. One brother, Thomas (Joyce) Lux, is deceased.
He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Laura (Justin) Grace, Kristen Julian Recker, Eric (Cara) Lux, Michelle (Jaime) Jones. Also surviving are 12 great grandchildren; Jonah, Aubrie, and Oliver Grace; Landon, Avery, Harper and Sophie Recker; Brayden and Blaise Lux, Jacob, Liana and Roman Jones. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Our hearts are heavy as we will miss him greatly. But we we look forward to that glorious day when all those who believe in Jesus Christ will be united forever.
