Theodore Plakan on Thursday, January 15, 2015 Ted, age 90, formerly of Avalon passed peacefully and comfortably in the presence of love, care and faith at Holy Family Manor. Proud owner of Ted’s Bar in Ambridge for 55 years and beloved father to his four daughters; Linda, Pat, Marian and Kathie; Pap to Nadine, Ian, Jesse and Rachel; father-in-law of Brian Hildenbrand.
Ted joins his beloved wife Aggie. Take care and thank you dad.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave, Avalon, 412-766-5600, where a service will be held at 8pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Manor, 301 Bellevue Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15229, where Ted was blessed to reside.
The daughters would also like to thank the staff of Gateway Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. His Heaven is waiting.
