

Virginia A. Sens Lipke, 81, of Ingomar, formerly of Ben Avon, went peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2012. She is survived by her beloved husband of 13 years, Shannon E. Lipke and her devoted daughters Debbie J. (Frank) Sowa of Glenshaw and Cheryl A. (Herb) Edwards of Evans City. Proud grandmother of Daniel Sowa, Tim, Ben and Gabe Edwards, great-grandmother of Lincoln Edwards. Also survived by Debbie (Charlie) Farbacher, Shannon (Bonnie) Lipke, Linda Siegler and Brian Lipke. Preceded in death by her parents William and Elizabeth Perret, her first husband and father of her children, Norman C. Sens, her brother, William Perret and sister, Jean Nelson. Virginia worked as a secretary for the FBI in the early 1950’s and also for the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School and Lemstone Books. She loved reading, feeding and watching the birds, her children, grandchildren and her only great-grandson, the light of her life. Virginia was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon and also attended Memorial Park Presbyterian Church.
Friends received Sunday 2-4pm & 6-8pm at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon 412-766-5600, where funeral service will be held 11am Monday. Interment to follow at Highwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 146 Neely School Rd., Wexford, PA 15090 or the Memorial Park Presbyterian Church, 8800 Peebles Rd., Allison Park, PA 15101.
